Give him a hand

It’s a date, baby. With Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain committed to a release date, and with yours truly having clearly forgotten about the dreaded Metal Gear Solid 2 days of waiting, it looks like the next chapter in Snake’s life is just about ready to go. Of course, the game will be available in more than just the standard Vanilla Snake edition. Although I’m guessing that the special Collector’s Edition might cost an arm and a leg.

Here’s what you’ll get in the Day 1 Edition of the game (Hint: NOT MUCH):

Day 1 Edition Content

Map (Physical version only)

DLC items

  • Adam-ska Special Handgun
  • Personal Ballistic Shield (Silver)
  • Cardboard Box (Wetland)
  • Fatigues (Blue Urban Snake Costume)
  • Metal Gear Online XP Boost

And here’s what the presumably pricier collector’s edition will give you, which is quite heavy on DLC. Click on the picture below to embiggen:

  1. For a second I thought this game would be published by EA or Ubisoft.

Make hand into fist then extend middle finger and leave it on my desk. Win.

It’s funny because cut off limbs often cause phantom pains too… Well played. Multijoke header is epic

Sounds like pay to win to me. Get better guns and stuff with collectors editions, make the game easier.

I doubt it will feel that way. The weapons are just special as in aesthetically. I’d assume you’d get better weapons after a few hours if not immediatly on par with the weapons given to you right off that bat.

I want this. I want that arm. Why? I don’t know. All I know is, I have a place for it next to my computer at work.
