The PlayStation 3 was released in March 2007 in Europe, The Middle East and – well, South Africa. That means that some of you have had the machine for just over 5 years now. In those 5 years, the PlayStation 3 has evolved in leaps and bounds, starting its life with a barely-there online gaming service in to one that gives Microsoft’s Xbox Live a run for its (lack of) money. We’ve seen the PlayStation 3 shift from a ludicrously expensive machine with no games in to the console with the highest value proposition – sporting a library of exclusive games that appeal to all gamers.

Oh, and urrr… PlayStation Home.

The console may not have lived up to Sony’s original promises, but it’s still home to some of this generation’s best experiences thanks to games like Demon’s Souls, Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, LittleBigPlanet and some car racing simulator nobody cares about. Me? I love my PlayStation mostly because of its exclusives – but not only the ones that sit on retail shelves. Games like Journey, Fl0w, Super Stardust HD, Flower and the Pixel Junk games have made my investment in Sony’s black box more than worth it – and t’s also a pretty good Blu Ray player.

Tell us why YOU love your PlayStation 3.
