Show me your money maker

A huge number of people in the current generation hate the advertisements that can be seen on the Xbox 360 dashboard. I’ve often defended this over the years as it really doesn’t bug me in the least and since I’m in the business of earning a living from advertising, it’s something I understand.

Granted people have a point when they say that they are already paying for Xbox Live so why are they still seeing adverts? Again personally I don’t care but I see the point.
And apparently now Sony also sees the potential benefit of advertising to their huge PSN audience.

A recent tweet by Jeff Gerstmann of Giantbomb has revealed that Sony will in fact be advertising on the PSN activity feed and this is what it looks like.

Now here we are only seeing adverts for Sony’s PSN store (which already happens on the current US PSN store) but I doubt it will be long before Burger King and the like start showing up on the stream.

So how does this make you feel, are you indifferent like myself or does this make your blood boil?

Let us know in the comments below.

You will change your mind as soon as you start dealing with the other banks.

I’ll take stupid ads over stupid people working with (and stopping access to ) my money any day of the week.

You can mute a Steve Ad, you can not mute an imbecile ABSA bank manager who can not understand that it is NOT OK to impose a 30 day withdrawal notice without previous notification and my approval, that less 2% interest on a money market account for 3 months in a row is NOT OK, you can not mute faulty ABSA ATM machine that gobble up your card and then have to pay ABSA for a new card (3 times in a single year), you can not mute a idiot Nedbank rep who can not explain their different account options if their life depends on it.

And I’ll take the irritating Steve ads over those 2 Standard Bank idiots that try to sell coffee for R90. At least the stupid Steve ads make sense.

Hahaha!! Well said!! I left ABSA because a guy in Durban fraudulently took money from my account with a debit order I never agreed too… ABSA told me to phone the guy and ask him to stop the debit order because they can’t do it and neither can I!! So the guy steeling my money had to be asked by myself to please stop steeling my money!!! Hahahaha…. One week later… FNB!!!!!!

Can’t be, I believe it’s illegal to not have bacon on menu, so I’m just putting this down to another misleading comment / article designed to make us rage and kill puppies.

EDIT: Puppies are delicious with bacon.

Then I would pick a free service or none to be honest. Product placement in movies is bad enough. Unless I am really hard up for the service. But sjo that would be a rare case.

    Must be kept subtle.

If you realize that the only reason you can’t scroll to where you want to go is because of some advert still loading then it really starts to piss me off.

And with our interwebs being so slow I hope that does not become a thing.
