The real cost of the PSN downtime [Infographic]

Promotionalcodes.org.uk have commissioned an infographic to be made that details how much money Sony has lost thanks to the PSN hack fiasco and how it all came about.

Infographics are always fun and they make it so much easier to put these big numbers into perspective. For example the total cost of the hack according to independent figures from the Ponemon Institute is $24 Billion which is one third of Sony’s entire yearly revenue and around 100 times more than their annual profit.

Personally I think adding in the part about the Ohio railway worker and his 8 year old son just cheapens the entire thing but the rest is pretty interesting to see.
