Sims 4 building

The Sims 4 is starting to show off. Last time they showed us how easy, intuitive and creative the character creation would be. Now, we get to see more about building our dream home.

Here is the video from The Sims that shows out how quick and easy it is to build in the new game.

In The Sims 4, you can now place fully furnished rooms, as well as drag and resize them with an intelligent program that will automatically move the furniture to fit the newly sized room. Well that certainly saves all the moving of the TV cabinet that drove me crazy in previous Sims games. Additionally, you can auto-add a bunch of windows, change their positioning and even add architectural details.

I might actually enjoy building my dream home with this new build mode. I honestly didn’t like doing anything to customize my homes in previous Sims games because it felt like such a hassle. Break down one wall, put up another, then add different features, then the TV was in the wrong place and my sims would make that awful whining unhappy noise. No, this looks like a serious improvement on the game, and it will probably mean that people will take advantage of it and build more unique houses.

I wonder what types of pre-made rooms they’ll have. Will they have beer crates as chairs for my crazy bachelor pads? Nah, it’s probably all beautiful IKEA catalogue looking rooms. I still wouldn’t mind playing around and building some cool new homes for my impressive new sims. The Sims 4 certainly looks like a good leap from Sims 3, I’m sure many people will be very addicted.

Holy crap. I never thought I’d watch a video about The Sims.

I also never thought that a video about The Sims would actually make me want to purchase said game.

I’ve never played any one of the games, contrary to popular Lagz trolling belief

Can I build a block of flats and become a landlord (doing nothing but collecting rent)? Now that would be cool.

Count me in, may the great Banana breeding programme commences: How many generations does it take to breed out all the alien out of a human-alien hybrid?
