In life, there are few events as vicious and as brutal as an American Black Friday sale. Bargain prices would drive anyone into a frenzy, and usually, it’s worth going into that mob of fists and tasers to get some cheap materialism. And dammit, the Black Friday sales for this month are just insane.
Kicking off on November 28 from 6PM on a Thursday (Yes, this does sound odd), our Yank gaming brethren can pick up specials such as a 250GB Xbox 360 for just $99 and a PS3 with a 12GB drive for $149.
Hell, you can get a 2DS for $99 as well, or brand new games such as Assassin’s Creed 4 and GTA V for just $35. Dammit, that’s not fair. It just isn’t, nuh uh. Whose pets do I have to kidnap to get prices like that here in SA?

You really should have had Blizzcom delay their event so that you could be there for this, inconsiderate bunch if you ask me.

Too bad people get trampled and/or killed at those sales. Human nature at it’s best.

As an American, I wouldn’t say it’s too bad, I’d say it’s a form of population control to weed out the lower end of the gene pool. Of course, I’m a monster. 😉

May sound harsh, but I’ve seen more than my fair share of parents hitting their kids in that store (Walmart), because they weren’t paying attention to what was getting thrown in the cart and then get embarrassed at the checkout line because they can’t afford it all. Because…you know, children know better.
Awful place, that attracts some of the worst kind of people, in my opinion.

Most places you can buy online instead of having to go in, also often the special start Thursday evening late and run through Sunday.

Yeah people will be lined up the night before, sometimes as early as 8pm for midnight openings, happens every year.

I see that ad is from Walmart, i would rather pay the extra $20 for a game than have to go to Walmart on Thanksgiving evening before midnight! In fact i am sure the header pic is from a Walmart parking lot 🙂

Oh man, I so agree with you. Walmart is just the worst place to go. Paying whatever the premium it is to buy (anything) at store X, is worth it. But, Best Buy, Pier 1 Imports, and numerous other big ticket stores will make a fairly big event of it.
I’m just so used to purchasing things online I’ve never bothered with getting up early for the deals on Black Friday.

So on page 1 i see they are selling the PS4 for $399… Cant believe we will have to fork out just about 50% more for the same hardware.
