The Witcher 3 isn’t working on some Xbox Ones right now

Sad geralt

But don’t worry, Microsoft is trying to fix it. Shame, that Xbox One version of the game was supposed to be the main thing, right? The premier platform. Instead, it does’t look too great and reports keep coming in of bugs making it unplayable. Now, Xbox Live is causing issues, making launching or installing the game impossible.

If you head on over to the Xbox Live Status page, you can see that they are aware of the issue:

Are you unable to launch or install The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? We’re working to address this ASAP! Thanks for staying patient. We’ll fill you in as soon as we know more.

No explanation of what’s going on, although at least we know that they’re working to fix it. So, if you’re getting Error Code 0x87de2726, you aren’t alone – Geralt is fighting the good fight to return to Xbox One and will hopefully be available again soon. It seems to be affecting digitally-purchased copies of the game.

Unfortunately, this is the future. Even if you bought the game, you might not be able to play it when you want. It’s frustrating and infuriating and drives me ballistic, but there isn’t much that we can do besides moan. The always online gaming experience is here to stay, complete with all the issues it brings. Now, if you had bought the game through GoG.com, you might not have these issues, but you wouldn’t have the benefits that other platforms and distribution systems give, either.

There’s only one char skin & it’s for Yennefer. And if you haven’t encountered her after 80 hours WTF have you been doing in White Orchard for so long? You won’t find any Elfroot. 😛

The rest is some hair & beard styles, armour sets, new crossbow & a witcher contract. There’s still 10 more coming, 2 every week.

Not quite sure how it’s a premium experience on any console if it was developed with nVidia tech in mind to make it really shine.

No I am not trying to start a PC VS Console VS GFX card war. I just can’t understand the logic now that I think back on all the marketing. It was really being marketed for the XBone, however it was never really meant to be a premium experience on ATI cards, which in turn means… not consoles….

Either way, I hope they get it fixed for the Xbone players quick

I still have version 1.01. Offline gamer and have yet to experience a single game breaking bug. I have seen 1 person floating half a meter off the ground in my 80hours of game time.

I got to say, the amount of work that went into the game from such a small studio is CRAZY. I always keep expecting some clipping like you get in Assassins Creed, you know? like when your sword on your back would clip with your clothes. Not even the cross bow string clips. Very polished game. Nothing worse than watching a close up cut scene and the clothes clip into the persons face.

Confirmed yesterday, there is no level cap. Level 35 is what most people are finishing the story on and level 47 is the highest level recorded so far.

I feel sorry if the game does not work for you. I suppose that is modern gaming thanks to all the firmware updates, live connections and patches canceling each other out.

FCUKING AMAZING GAME. I am level 15 and already have 3 failed missions.

I am going to sleep my way to the top. You get 5xp if you bang a hooker. That green haired elf is going to be very tired by the end of the year. But I still have my standards, I will never go to Cripple Kates brothel ever again… sis 😛

lol the game has some very funny writing. As for Clint Eastwood of Rivia and his atrocious Puns 🙂

Zoe, CD Project confirmed that Witcher 3’s lead platform was PC. The fact that review copies were sent for PS4 Dev kits also confirms that PS4 was the lead console platform. They do have a marketing relationship with Microsoft but this does not mean that the Xbox One was the lead platform. Anyways, this bug aside, it seems that the Xbox One version does have a slight performance advantage over the PS4 after all the updates according to digital foundary.
