What’s this, is this really some good news surrounding the Xbox One being posted on a gaming website? I think I’ve now seen it all. But in all honesty the Xbox One has not been a pleasant surprise for gamers but this is something I’m very excited about.
Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has told OXM that gamers can expect a return of the 1 vs 100 styled game shows with the new Xbox One… but unfortunately not at launch.
He has also said that Microsoft has learned a ton of new information when they ran the 1 vs 100 program
“a ton of learning around 1 vs.100, what does it mean to bring hundreds of thousands of people together in a virtual game environment and have them play with each other and give away real prizes”
I really loved 1 vs 100 and the idea of set game shows on the Xbox One and it’s cloud power is something that really does appeal to me. It’s not enough to make me forgive Microsoft for the lack of game swapping though, but if they repel that policy then I think they’ll see the tide change.
What is really awesome is that every Xbox One will be shipped with a 1080p Kinect camera and so there is no reason we can’t all become contestants in our very own Japanese Game Show

Urquan masters, free game, total remake of SC2. Freeware.
BUT it does not have the bug for infinite cash at the start of the game (sell landers you do not own into infinity – hold down mouse button with tape and screwdriver), so is a pain to play with a slow ship, with a poor turning circle for so long, till you get it better
And an Earthling cruiser could NEVER defend a Spathi, hah! They gave earth a slow, cumbersome ship. Not fun to use, but actually not as bad as all that.

I played UM on my phone a while back, almost put 20 hours into it. But the actual melee was a pain to play, as the controls aren’t perfect on the touch screen. Don’t know if the controls are better maybe now?
On of the main ways to survive early on was to do fly bys and then turn your turret to the opponent while you drifted past. This was not possible with the control scheme on the phone, as you couldn’t turn without giving “power”.
Should maybe get it again and see if it has improved!
SC2 truly is still one of the greatest games I’ve ever play (and never finished!!).

No, I played it on my PC, not my phone. I imagine touch screen would not work for melee combat very well at all.
SC2 is fantastic. but SC3 (own the game, played once, felt forced, was not fun)
I have one word for you-

Made the game better in so many small ways, just awesome. The story of how they got the thruster (cigar smoking near open engine while in combat) is just awesome. Also the fact they are on civilization 19 (they keep nuking themselves backwards) while the rest of the galaxy did it once. The subtle way of saying they may be crazy, but they advanced far faster than the other races in the same time period.
Man, almost as passionate about this as Star Wars (real Cannon stuff, not new juice) See Timothy Zahn.
