The pick of Destiny

2014 has to be one of the most exciting years for me when it comes to gaming. With new-gen consoles having established a beachhead on all fronts, the games are finally starting to come in thick and fast. Top of my list right now though, is Destiny. And in the lair of the devil, there’s some metal…to shoot at your foes.

Beneath the ruins of the Cosmodrome, in the shadow of an old colony ship, we’ve located the House of Devils’ lair. Fight the Fallen, burn back the Hive, and clear a path that leads straight into E3, Beta, and beyond.

Here’s the latest gameplay for Destiny, detailing the Devil’s Lair map. Say what you like about developer Bungie wanting to create a far more encompassing social experience, but it’s hard to deny that Destiny at the very least will look rather bloody gorgeous, even when a machine-god is trying to use your skull as a makeshift lavatory.

Or in other words that are simple enough for me to understand, HUMMINA HUMMINA HUMMINA! Yes, I’m rather excited for the game, and with Batman: Arkham Knight looking like a 2015 release now, this is at the top of my list.

Destiny is starting to emerge from its cocoon as of late, shedding mystery for all manner of new details. Expect to see plenty more info surface during E3, and also during the upcoming beta before the game lands on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 9.

I’d be happy just without shoes at this stage. It doesn’t help than no one else is at work either.

Eish. That’s bad man. I also start at 7, but luckily we’re a bit more than I first thought.

I feel all y’all pain… Been at work since 6:45am… People only starting wafting in around 8:30am… Office is a little more populated than I thought, though, now that everyone who’s working has arrived. 🙂

We missed you Saturday man. The Lego character didn’t really serve as a decent replacement. He didn’t even talk to us.

Because nothing says creepy like a dead ship on dry land? Or it’s a PSA from the developers: Do not operate cargo ships under the influence of alcohol because land happens!

If Destiny gets proper mouse support I’d buy a PS4 just to play it.
