True Crime is also gone… 2 weeks after they sent us those last screenshots

Just last week we received a bunch of new screenshots for True Crime which were looking pretty good really.

Granted they weren’t blowing everyone away but they looked like they had a ton of promise, well that promise isn’t going to be fulfilled after it has come out that Activision has now decided to can the entire title.

This along with the canning of music titles is part of a massive restructure inside Activision which has left the worlds largest game publisher now sitting on a 3 pillar base of Call of Duty, Starcraft and World of Warcraft.

Granted all 3 of those are billion dollar entities but it seems like a bit of a risky move to be honest and COD could lose it’s appeal pretty quickly or someone like EA could release a COD killer any day now.

WoW pretty much has people addicted for life so that’s a safe one and StarCraft is so big in Eastern Asia that it will keep the money coming in for a long time to come.

In better news this restructure also means we are not going to be getting another Tony Hawks game this year which is a blessing in disguise really.
