Remember when I told you about Project Phoenix, the JRPG squad-based RTS game from an amazing crew of game developers and creators? Well, the Kickstarter is almost over, and they are now reaching for ten times their original goal.
Yup that’s right, not only was the game fully funded by the time I told you about it, they have now hit over $800k – they started with a goal of $100k. As a result, they have added double the amount of character and monster models, detailed city systems and customizable character creation. This JRPG is looking to be bigger and better than previously imagined, as long as they don’t fall into the usual Kickstarter traps. However, it looks like Project Phoenix is on course to do everything right with regards to JRPG fans – I’m seriously excited to see how it turns out.
While the game will be for Windows, Mac and Linux, thanks to hitting the higher amount, they will also be releasing on PS4 and PS Vita. The game is expected to launch in mid-2015. Now, check out the pretty concept art and go throw money at their Kickstarter.

Char looks similar to Stocke from Radiant Historia. Hope everything goes well!! looking forward to this one. PS4 got it’s first SJRPG as well today from Kodakawa games. Exciting times for JRPG fans

I have high hopes for this game, looks like they know what they doing. Just a long wait though 🙁
