Ubisoft adores the Wii, it’s 45% of their business

The Wii is still the market leader in this generation and whether you are fond of it’s waggling and jiggling mechanic or not depends on what sort of games you generally enjoy.

I personally love the Wii but only when playing casual games with the family, I also love the majority of Ubisofts games.

When I think of Ubisoft I think of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon, Far Cry and the like, however when Ubisoft think of gaming they aren’t really thinking of me.

No they’re thinking about Just Dance, Rayman, Rabbids and a whole slew of casual titles that have led their CEO to claim that the Wii is actually still 45% of their business.

That’s a shocking fact when you take into consideration they also sell titles on the PC, PSP, Xbox 360, PS3 and DS series.

So it’s no surprise at all that Ubisoft have thrown their support behind the Wii-U and have promised to give it a mammoth library of games and to also to support it’s innovative touch screen controller.

But I’m more interested in what you think, is Ubisoft in a dangerous position having so much of their income reliant on a dying platform or do you expect Nintendo to hit back with the Wii-U and to take the world by storm, again?
