After a week of rumours, cryptic teaser trailers and the odd Twitter slip, Ubisoft has finally confirmed that Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is coming, and coming soon. Not only that but they also revealed that Revelations will feature both Ezio and Altair. Hit the jump for all the juicy details.

In Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Ezio will head to Constantinople, following in the footsteps of Altair to finally conclude the Ezio trilogy. The game will also bring back very popular multiplayer with more modes, maps and characters.

“Delivering the final chapter of the Ezio trilogy is an important milestone in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for us and for our fans,” said Alexandre Amancio, Ubisoft Montreal’s creative director via press release today, “Assassin’s Creed Revelations includes lots of new features and some significant surprises. We can’t wait to show our fans what we have in store at E3 this year.”

The above image is another teaser from Ubisoft, featuring the first glimpse of the “hook blade” hanging from Ezio’s right sleeve.

I got to be honest I am a little disappointed that we are going back. Yes I am excited to see how Desmond’s story ends, but I would rather have had Assassin’s Creed 3 set in a brand new time period. Reinvent the series in Japan or China and include new fighting mechanics, weapons and above all, a new engine.

The road to the November release is sure to be paved with more information on the game especially with E3 just around the corner, but for now fight it out in the comments. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, your thoughts?
