Unlock Fable 2 achievements by watching

Well the fable 2 achievements have been released and they are pretty much  the same as the list leaked in august, even the “Take part in a debauched bedroom party with several participants.” is still in there. What does strike me is the unique way some of the achievements can be unlocked.

In about 30 of the achievements, there is an added note at the end of the description and that is the ability to earn them simply by watching someone else fulfill the requirement, meaning you could be invited into a friends game and earn the achievement buy looking in their direction while they do the work.

some listed include:

Although some of you I’m sure might find this a tad on the lame side of things, I quite like the idea, and hopefully this different approach to achievements is shown in other aspects of the game as well. The full list can be found here.

It would be nice if they only did it for the easy ones, because i can see some people complaining that the difficult one’s should be achieved on their own. I don’t really care either way though… Fable 2 is going to be lots of fun – the achievements don’t mean much. Especially since i only played Fable: The lost chapters on the PC.

Well as far as the difficult ones go, I doubt you would have allot of fun just following a friend around while he plays. I guess it also depends weather you just need to watch the moment they get the achievment or all the things theve had to do leading up to it, like the fetch quests and stuff like that.

As i was saying take the achievement “Get all expressions, pet tricks and abilities, or see another Hero do so.” Im questioning weather you need to see that player get each thing, or just the final one.

I think this is just the dev’s way of ensuring that co-op partners get their achievements as well. When joining a co-op game, you enter the host’s world – yours is unaffected other than the money, skills and loot you attain. The achievement structure here effectively means you wouldn’t have to go the the trudgery of doing things over in your game world.
