The latest sales data is in for the US and not much has changed since last week.

Hardware
Xbox 360 – 126,589
Wii – 117,671
PS3 – 23,405

Software
Xbox 360 – 747,570
Wii – 442,185
PS3 – 172,486

I am sure all the PS3 fans are hoping the latest price cuts will make a difference to these figures next week, but at least they still have Europe.

The top selling title is still Halo 3 which has sold nearly 4 million units in the US since it’s release (4 Weeks). The top PS3 title is Motorstorm (20) which has sold 562 744 since launch (33 weeks). The top selling non bundled Wii title is Mario Party (21) which has sold 1.2 million since launch (21 weeks).

Is the price cut and 40gb sku in place already in the US? If so, RIP PS3 in the US.

I am not sure if it does include the time when the 40GB was released. I can only imagine not as you would expect a sales spike after any price reduction.

There SHOULD be a PS3 sales spike after the SKU price cut until they run out of stock…

No I think 40Gb launches in the US at the beginning of November, but I think (Abe will definitely correct me if I’m wrong) the 80Gb has been dropped to $500.

Haha to tell the truth I dont know, I dont really follow whats happening in the US.
I think the last price cut they got was sometime ago though.
But I dont think they will get the R5500 version price cut, cos as far as I know this is actually a retail cut and not a cut from sony/SK. The 40gb is still going to launch in USA and Im sure they will get additional price cuts.
