Much like the movie industry, January is usually a dumping ground for games and Gary Busey, games that would have been buried under the onslaught of bigger-budgeted titles during the silly season. While developers such as Capcom and Bandai Namco usually come to the rescue with a heavyweight in their corner that is more than ready to throw a left hook into what remains of your bank balance, the month ahead sticks to safe ports and indie titles aplenty.
This week, the formula is somewhat…Switched up a bit. With the Nintendo Switch proving itself to not be a repeat of the terrible Wii U, developers are actually flocking to the device. Sure, those developers are porting over a ton of their greatest hits to the platform, but that’s not exactly a negative, thanks to the mobile nature of the Switch. It truly is a magnificent platform, that allows me to explore the gorgeous new realms from the comfort of a toilet seat. GAMING EVOLUTION YO!
