Failure

After the break is a truly awesome video, while at first you may feel it is attacking one of your joys in life (you are on a gaming website after all) I do feel it’s worth watching all the way through to really grasp what Brian Schmoyer is really trying to tell us.

I am quite into gaming, it’s a major part of my life but at the same time I am well aware of the fact that I need to balance my obsessive nature and my love for video games with the other important things in my life.

Family, friends and loved ones are important and need to be shown that you do care. If you can’t remember the last time you participated in a physical activity other than sex then you should try and fix that.

If all your friends are online and you feel alone when the Internet is cut off it’s time to go out and meet some friends in the flesh, hell I know I for one want to organise another Alpacafest now.

There is nothing wrong with all your friends being gamers, just make sure that you are not only friends while gaming.

PS: This video relates to everything not only gaming… moderation is the key

Great film and incredibly relevant. It does make me feel guilty about the amount of hours of spend gaming (which is not much).

The answer to his video is WOW… thats what the problem is for most PC gamers. WOW takes control of your life, its the kind of game that the more you play the better you are regardless of skill level. For me while I have played those games and enjoyed those games, their motives quickly become evident.

Its a never ending leech on your wallet and life. I prefer games where if you’re good then you’re good. No matter if you play once a week or once a month. Games that require you to play constantly to be competitive are evil.
