So when Virtua Fighter 5 was first announced we were told that the reason it was a PlayStation 3 exclusive is because the 360 couldn’t handle it…
Well it is no longer an exclusive and the first reviews are coming in…
After all that ?only PS3 can do Virtua Fighter 5? talk, we?re proud to say the 360 version is graphically superior – by some margin, in fact. Truthfully, the 360 sheen is so apparent in a direct HDMI cable switch comparison, it?s like looking at Soul Calibur 2 on Xbox compared to PS2. VF5?s here, online, and all is right with the world.
Granted the 360 team has had a lot of time to polish this game, but if you are still confused why Sony receives so much bad press this is a prime example.
They were overly arrogant and brash about their super system and have yet to show any humility over it. The fact that the 360 version is so much better than the PS3 version, online multi-player anyone, is embarrassing for Sony.

Although the anti-aliasing looks better, I hate the shininess of the graphics of the Xbox 360 screens I’ve seen. Looks like a lot of the earlier Xbox 360 games, like Perfect Dark Zero. Personally, I think that sheen is a minus rather than a plus, compared to the subtlety of the lighting and colour on the Ps3 version.
But agreed, the online is the big thing. That is something that really hurts. Sega has let PS3 owners down by refusing to patch the game or release an expansion. Oh well, I’m certainly not double-dipping on this game.

I also thought it was a bit shiny…. I reserve complete judgement until we get a side by side comparison going…
