Simon Munroe, AKA Delph1za, has posted his take on the whole SA Xbox Live saga over at www.delphi.co.za
While I don’t agree with his viewpoint that the Xbox is not entertaining without live he does make a very good point about the way that the Xbox 360 is being marketed and distributed in South Africa.
Is the person who is handling this market really a true gamer or just some office lackey who has progressed from selling windows to handling the Xbox… Gamers are a fickle bunch and if you don’t understand the gaming culture you have no chance.
I have personally met most of hte Ster Kinekor gaming team and can vouch for them being true gamers at heart, which could go a long way to explaining how the PlayStation brand does so well in South Africa…
