Where's Sam gone?

Ubidays has been up and running and within all the chaos that is Prince of Persia, Beyond Good and Evil and the awesome Raving Rabbids there is one huge title that is just no where to be seen.

Sam Fischer has gone AWOL, there is no sign of Splinter Cell: Conviction anywhere…

There are however rumours that the entire project has been taken back to the drawing board so I wouldn’t hold you breath for this one….

This is a major blow to the Splinter Cell fans and the guys on the 360 who can’t play MGS4…. This was meant to compete against it but obviously it just wasn’t up to scratch….

I was wondering about Convition myself. The vids released last year looked OK, and some sites reported seeing a playble version, so Conviction was definitely coming along well. I’d be interested to know exactly why the franchise has gone silent.

Oh well if they have gone back to the drawing board its a good thing, Ive got huge respect for developers who can stop halfway through development (if that is the deal) and start again, I’d rather wait another year then get a crap game.

Yes and no… because at the end of the day, you don’t want a Duke Nukem Forever scenario. Going back to the drawing board is fine form time to time, but they shouldn’t let it become a habit

Ah man, that sux! Was so looking forward to this. But i guess it’s better to do this than to release another bug-fest like Double Agent.

Would it being pushed back to ’09 really be a bad thing? There are already too many games coming out on the 360 this year, exclusive or otherwise.

SC Conviction looks like Assassins Creed where you play a hobo. Not interested.
