Lol @ the 370 XboX owners.

But i refuse to believe that in Japan only 1.4% of XboXs are failing, or the people they selected were just a very luck bunch or lied. If my console died there’s no way i would rate it anything other than ‘Very Dissatisfied’

What do you make of this:

especially the comments made by ‘Dwells55’, do you know if this is a problem happening locally as well. Makes me quite concerned.

E74 is a local problem also.

Does it make me less satisfied by getting a new 360 for free every few months?

    No it does not.

I have 2 for that very reason.

Thanks, but do you think it’s a way for M$ to bypass the 3-year RROD warranty?

I don’t think they’ve specifically put code in NXE to kill consoles, no. I do think that the 360 was just a horribly designed piece of kit that was rushed to market too early – which is now biting MS in the backside.

It really is a pity, cos it’s an awesome console otherwise.

Absolutely not since the vast majority of Xbox 360’s are still under warranty. It would be counter productive of Microsoft to sabotage their consoles while they are still under warranty

Lol i didn’t mean that they are killing the consoles, i mean do you think the machines are reporting RRoD errors as E74 errors so that consumers can’t claim on the RRoD warranty?

No no no, i’m not talking sabotage here at all, but let’s say a 13 month old 360 dies of RRoD (naturally) but the system reports it as E74, then the extended warranty does not apply and the consumer has to foot the repair bill.

Actualy, it’s only like 190 Xbox 360 owners (more or less) since 53.5% doesn’t own one that did the survey.

Nah, not really. Most RRoD machines aren’t able to output any display at all, on account of the GPU no longer being securely soldered.

Its more expensive to have an out of warranty faulty PS3 replaced than a 360
