Who you gonna call? Lego announces a Ghostbusters set

Ghostbusters (1)

I’ve got to hand it to Lego. For a company that specialises in creating bricks that know just where to penetrate your heel, they’ve done a good job adapting and rolling with the times. Lego has licensed a ton of different properties over the last couple of years. But they may have just hit the right button with me, with the upcoming Ghostbusters set.

A while back, one Brent “Orion Pax” Waller designed an entire Ghostbuster set that included custom mini-figs, the iconic Ecto-1 car and the infamous homebase that houses all that paranormal activity that emanates from New York City. Needless to say, it looked pretty damn awesome.

Having seen that, Lego has decided to at least make some of it available to the wider public. So cross my streams of joy, because Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, Ray Stantz and Winston Zeddemore are joining mass production. And so is the Ecto-1, but sadly, not the Ghostbuster headquarters on Hook & ladder 8.

Maybe one day, we’ll get that. Here’s the official announcement video:

Keen for more Ghostbusters gear? Well if you have enough time, patience and possible mental defects from head trauma like I do, then it’s relatively easy to build your own proton pack. Or you could just get the actual Neutron wand, for the low, low price of R1430. For that price, you get a relatively authentic replica with all the electronic bells and whistles attached, that I’m still struggling to fit into my proton pack.

Just remember, Tokoloshes are class-5 frequent repeaters, and they are bastards to catch and trap.
