With Nintendo laying down the 3D gauntlet and Sony still trying to convince everyone that the future is 3D it was a bit of a surprise to se that the PS3 Vita isn’t planning any sort of 3D implementation at this time.
In reality any screen can be 3D enabled using software and a pair of glasses but Sony has confirmed the real reason they don’t have glasses free 3D is down to the SIXAXIS.
Apparently glasses free 3D doesn’t work that well when combined with Six-Axis motion tracking and they’ve decided to rather go that route.
Personally I think it’s a great idea as I am not a fan of the 3D phase at the moment but it is surprising that 3D’s biggest backer isn’t backing it up on their handheld.
