Will Skyrim be delayed?

Michael Pachter has risked the wrath of millions of Internet trolls by speaking the unspeakable and stating that yes Skyrim may still miss it’s November release date.

While he prefaces this with saying it’s not likely he does say that the only two titles that may miss their planned end of year release date are Skyrim and Saints Row.

Saints Row may miss it as THQ are still reeling from their Homefront mauling and may decide to add more polish to a game that has become a must win for them.

However Skyrim is in a different boat as everyone is expecting it to be fantastic and all the early previews have been very positive so far. However it didn’t win as many awards at E3 as Bioshock Infinite and maybe Bethesda will decide to hold it back to ensure it can pack some more awesome into it before releasing it in February 2012.

I for one wouldn’t be overly disappointed to see some of the titles move out into next year as my current must have purchase list for the rest of the year reads something like this

  • FIFA 12
  • F1 2011
  • Gears of War 3
  • Battlefield 3
  • Modern Warfare 3
  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Uncharted 3

There is also a new Need for Speed, Halo, MGS and… what else is a must buy from your perspective and could you give Skyrm a skip until next year?
