Rumors have been confirmed – Wolfenstein: the New Order is coming!
Bethesda announced that the new Wolfenstein will be released on current and next-gen consoles, as well as PC, during Q4 2013. MachineGames is the studio behind the game and hopes to keep the horror and the drama from the original series.
“We are excited to bring a new chapter of Wolfenstein to gamers everywhere.” said Jens Matties, creative director at Machine Games. “As fans of the series, working on this game is an honor, and our team is driven to create an unforgettable action-adventure experience that will make FPS fans proud.”
The latest iteration in the series takes place in 1960 in an alternate reality where the Nazis won WWII. Gamers play as good ol’ B.J. Blazkowicz – infiltrating Nazi strongholds, killing loads of Nazis and taking control of super weapons. Really, what more could you want or expect from Wolfenstein? Oh, and it looks like some Nazis have gone mecha – even better!
Here is the awesome teaser trailer with Jimi Hendrix, because yeah, the only thing that makes killing Nazis more fun is doing it while listening to Jimi.

Can you imagine how much he got teased at school?
I think he was fearless because he committed a crime and was about to go to prison. And you just don’t go to prison when your initials are BJ. Noooo…you run away, join the army and make sure you take on every damn suicide mission to come your way.

It’s a form of Hypocorism.
“Will(iam) > Bill was, in fact, part of a great 13th-14th century TREND of swapping some other letter for the original first letter of a name. Other names resulting from this process include: Polly from Molly, Bob from Rob (from Robert), Hick and Dick (from Richard), Hodge from Roger.”
