WWE Smackdown vs RAW Roster Reveal (and avatar items)

SmackDownVsRaw

It’s been a long time since I played a wrestling game or watched any wrestling on TV and when the below trailer arrived in my inbox I was about a millisecond away from deleting it.

However I am trying to build up a YouTube catalogue so I decided to upload it anyway and I have to admit that after watching it I am intrigued.

It’s meant to be showing us all the cool wrestlers that are in the upcoming WWE Smackdown vs RAW title but to be honest the only one I recognise is the Undertaker.

However what caught my eye were the movements of the character models in the game, they look incredibly fluid and really brought back the memories of loving WWF when it was still WWF.

We’re going to keep an eye on this one and see if we can snag a review copy when it comes out next month I think.

Oh and if you are the biggest WWE fan around then you may want to decorate your Xbox 360 avatar with some of this cool swag.

I’ll take that Rey Mysterio mask if you don’t mind!

I haven’t watched WWE in ages, I think the whole Chris Benoit murder-suicide saga just left a foul taste in my mouth, and not to mention that the year before Eddie Guerrerro died from a heart attack.

As for the games, I was given SvR10 as a present last year, which was actually pretty decent (I especially liked to make CAWs.. CAPTAIN AWESOME LIVES), although the last WWE game I bought was SvR06, which featured Brock Lesnar (the current UFC champ) and Ultimo Dragon. I borrowed SvR07 from a friend, and that one was so terrible I vowed never to buy a single THQ WWE game again.

I’ll admit, SvR11 looks very interesting, but after nearly 12 years, I can’t help but think that THQ has milked this cow so dry that its udders are deflated.
