X3G’s Big Day In – It’s your civic duty

Xbox360gamers.co.za in conjunction with GamerLobby have come up with a pretty awesome idea, basically on the 19th of September 2009 you need to fulfill your gaming civic duty and ensure that you logon to Xbox Live and play some games.

In their own words

“X3G’s BIG DAY IN is being arranged to create a greater awareness of the local Xbox LIVE community among South African Xbox 360 owners. This means that you need to get as many of your friends to be online for the event as possible. We hope to introduce many new gamers to the local XBL community, and show everyone that there is more than just a handful of South Africans on Xbox LIVE.”

What makes it even better is that there is a smorgasbord of prizes up for grabs from Microsoft Points to full retail games. All you need to do is register yourself as a South African gamer over at X3G and then be online between 9am and 9pm on the 19th of September.

Don’t worry though we will be reminding you again closer to the time so all you need to do right now is go and register so that they can check that your gamertag is online on the day.

Registered and keen. Gears 2, Worms 2, Riddick, GTA4 (and L&D), Saints Row 2 and maybe some CastleCrashers will be the order of the day for me.

Most of my 100 strong friendlist is online every night…

The extra pressure on the local networks might kill this idea…

I want to organise a Lazygamer event for the day as well… any thoughts on what would be an awesome game to sign up for?
