AceyBongo has used his Twitter account to announce a brand new feature on the Xbox 360. Demo Achievements.
The idea is beautifully simple and is being demonstrated in the Crackdown 2 demo that will be available to all Gold members tomorrow.
Once you download the demo and test it out you can unlock achievements in game which will then be held in limbo and then when you purchase the game and load it up your demo achievements will be unlocked and will instantly be added to your gamerscore.
The other option I guess would be to lend your friends retail copy to unlock your demo achievements but either way it’s a nice simple addition that will make the demo just that much more rewarding.

The PSN+ does the same thing for full game trails.

I think XBLA demos already do that?

Yes and know… the XBLA demos will remind you that if you want the achievement, you need to purchase the full game. If you choose not to, and end the demo, you will have to try to get the achievement again once you have purchased the game.

It would seem that 180,000 Slims were sold during a 15-day period, a figure that deserves some consideration.
