I think we’re quickly reaching a point where it is assumed that most Xbox exclusive titles are (or eventually will be) PC games too.Just last week Phil Spencer all but confirmed that Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown 3 would eventually reach desktops, and this week another highly anticipated exclusive joins those ranks. Can we start using Ecosystem Exclusive yet?
ReCore, the surprising action adventure game revealed at E3 with Keiji Inafune’s name attached, seems like it will also be coming to PC. According to a portfolio website belonging to one of the developers at Armature Studios, the game is being simultaneously developed for both platforms.

Platform(s): Xbox One, PCReCore is an upcoming 3rd-person action adventure game being developed in partnership with Keiji Inafune, exclusive for Xbox One and Windows 10. In ReCore, you play one of the last surviving humans and team up with a variety of robot companions to travel through a hostile and mysterious world. Having just been announced, I am not at liberty to post any more details about the game just yet, but Microsoft has big plans for the game and the IP over the coming year.
Sure, it could’ve possibly been a mistake, right? Well further down the same portfolio, the developer mentions ReCore again – this time citing PC experience and listing the game with both platforms for a second time. It’s unlikely that the same typo could’ve been made twice, but I’ll leave the level of doubt to you.

It’s, again, not entirely surprising given Microsoft’s stance towards how they deal with exclusives. While it does ask questions about their confidence in their console hardware, having their own games across two platforms that they own isn’t exactly bad business. It just makes the question around whether you need an Xbox or not a little trickier to answer.

yeah it did. Ran flawlessly at glorious 60fps on my GabenBlessed Rig. 23 Hours to the ‘bad’ ending. Still need to mop up for the ‘full’ ending.

This is good not? MS is immediately increasing their 1st party target market from what?, 14 millions users to 80 million users? Creating games is very very expensive (as the Sony drought is proving). With even a Sony flagship game like Bloodborne only selling 5 million copies are they making money? Remember the flip side is also true, expect more traditional PC exclusives to come to Xbox!

Think for a second, 5 million times 60 dollars a pop is close to 300 million, if only so many were sold, that is a lot of money, naturally the marketing etc has to be taken off, but that is quite a lot of money, I don’t think you can call that a drought…

NO NO NO! ???? Comparison video translates to pixels and I’m talking AI(CPU not GPU, we all know Sony has the better GPU and memory and Xbox the better CPU)! I haven’t read anything on that either but I’m thinking for myself here. Titanfall relied heavily on Azure for AI processing (yes, the cloud, same as Forza Drivatars new Crackdown etc.!????) Something Sony is incapable of offering, so how will they manage the same level of AI on PS4? THAT is why I bought current gen, not just for prettier graphics but for new innovative games, offering something fresh and unmatched in scale!???????????? Sony had a foot up on MS in the graphics dept. But hopefully DX12 can sort some of those “issues”, my games all look gorgeous btw! I don’t need a site that uses special comparative software to tell me this version has got x amount more pixels that I can’t even see with the naked eye!(And all the people that tell you they can are the same people that failed to spot KZ Shadowfall multiplayer didn’t run at 1080p) Hehehe!

I was being generous with the 5 million copies! What does it cost these days to make a AAA quality game? Some games’ marketing budgets alone runs into $100’s of millions! Too many “successful” developers start retrenching, closing down or getting bought out right after releasing their games. Sony knew this and was using Indie developers and their games to fill the void but MS has caught up!

I’ll tell you why I prefer buying PS4 games over PC games.
Resale. I can finish the game, sell the disc and move on. It’s a bit more complicated on PC, which I use for Hearthstone, Guild Wars 2 and Civilization. 😀
