Xbox Live Activity – Halo Reach Beta Fails To Overtake Modern Warfare 2

Major Nelson has posted the Xbox Live activity for the week of May 3rd and interestingly enough, the Halo Reach beta isn’t exactly where Bungie had hoped.

Thanks to the beta though, Halo ODST is sitting high up for the week’s results. What I don’t know is if Halo ODST registered as a game being played on top of the Reach Beta being played as well.

The real kicker though is that Bungie were really hoping to make history with the beta, but Halo Reach isn’t where they had hoped it would be.

Activity list after the jump.

  1. Modern Warfare 2
  2. Halo 3: ODST
  3. Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta
  4. Halo 3
  5. Call of Duty: World at War
  6. FIFA 10
  7. Battlefield: Bad Company 2
  8. GTA IV
  9. Call of Duty 4
  10. Gears of War 2
  11. UFC Undisputed 2010 Demo
  12. Splinter Cell Conviction
  13. Left 4 Dead 2
  14. Skate 3 Demo
  15. Forza Motorsport 3
  16. NBA 2K10
  17. Game Room
  18. Split Second Demo
  19. NHL 10
  20. Borderlands

So even though Halo is showing up strong at the top of the list, it still failed to beat Modern Warfare 2 and it’s bugs to the top spot.

If you want to check out the rest of the Live activity, head on over to the link below.

What make you think most people already traded their ODST in for a better game.

I’m not saying that – not all ODST players are die hard halo fans *i think*. al my friends who have a ODST never bothered downloading the Beta. Check how many people sold ODST on the forums when the beta was released?

From the 14th until the 17th of May the beta and all other Halo multiplayer games will be open to Silver memebers. So do a checkup next week again 😉

I don’t think you can compare a beta with a full release game. Modern Warfare 2’s activity includes the silver members that play single-player while connected to live. Halo Reach’s Beta is multiplayer for gold members only with no single player to speak of. Also, you have to own ODST to play the beta, with MW2 you can just play the game so I think this isn’t an accurate reflection of how well Reach proper will do.

are you an idoit why would you compaire a beta with a full game? and secondly halo odst was sepose to be an add on i have no idea why they made a game out of it and lastly Halo 3 came out BEFORE modern warfare 2 it even was releast before the first modern warefare so guess what the finished product of halo reach will be the nearest equivelent to modern warefare 2. so.. if an beta took 3 place what do you think a full game will do
