In a time where sequels are prevalent (and mostly successful), Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade looks to have it’s own follow-up to it’s fruitful Summer of Arcade. The original “Summer of Arcade”  saw the release of stellar games such as Braid, Castle Crashers and Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 – all of which were critically lauded, financially auspicious and quite frankly, awesome.

Major Nelson has detailed 7 anticipated games that will be released over a six week period. The first game to be released as part of this new campaign promotion will be Hasbro Family Game Night.

Hit the jump for the the remaining six games, one of which may or may not be the hugely anticipated side-scrolling brawler about a guy who cleans dishes for a living.

The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai
Flock
Lode Runner
Outrun Online Arcade
Puzzle Quest: Galactrix
UNO Rush

    Dishwasher! Finally!

From all the CC-only demos I’ve played, few 2D brawlers are as robust and mechanically deep as this game, I’m really looking forward to it 🙂
