Xbox Live Gets an Update, You Get Nothing New

Have you turned on your internet connected Xbox 360 to be greeted by a System Update Screen? are you expecting new functionality when it reboots? Well don’t. According to Xbox Live’s Major Nelson the mandatory update brings with it absolutely no features whatsoever.

The update is apparently in preparation for the Twitter, Facebook and Last.fm functionality that’s coming later this year although it could also be Microsoft  preparing a banwave for the dodgy Halo ODST pirates. Either way, if you’re a legitimate user – and by rights you should be – you have nothing to worry about.

this weekend i was playing GOW2 with a couple of locals and I noticed that the girl we were playing with had ODST in her played list… One would think if you had ODST game you’d stay offline till it launches, these pirates dont use common sense 😛
