Yesterday afternoon we reported about the Xbox Marketplace being taken down and whether or not it could have been a hack attack that brought it down.
While we don’t know yet why it went down it has now been announced that the console version of the marketplace is back up and running so you can go buy whatever it was you needed to buy yesterday.
The only communication I have seen around this issue from Microsoft is when Major Nelson tweeted that the downtime is related to an internal operational issue which implies it wasn’t hacked… but lets wait for the official response before announcing that.
Hopefully the web version of the marketplace is back soon enough as that is pretty much where I make all my purchases.
