XCOM delayed

Back in 2010 I was at E3 and was given an insiders preview of the upcoming XCOM shooter reboot that was going to be launched in 2011.

At the time it was still a very early preview and all in all the idea sounded pretty good but the game didn’t blow me away, at all.

So I wasn’t the least bit surprised when they announced that it had been delayed and pushed back into 2012, but then a few months later we received some more bad news with 2K now announcing that the game will only arrive in Fiscal 2013.

And now today 2K have come out once again and stated that no you’re not going to be playing the game in 2013 in fact the game has now been pushed back once again to F14.

No reasons were given as to why it’s been delayed again but I’m banking on a portion of it being that very few people actually want a XCOM FPS title, we have enough quality FPS titles in the industry at the moment and while I’m looking forward to the new XCOM strategy reboot that’s also coming I can say that I’m not excited about the FPS reboot, at all.

In more depressing news 2K has also announced that the strongest contributors to revenue in FY12 were L.A. Noire, NBA 2K12, Grand Theft Auto, Duke Nukem Forever and Red Dead Redemption.

One of those titles really shouldn’t be in that list, can you spot which one?
