Destiny 2 is coming to PC. That’s cause for celebration. The original game though? It’s unlikely that we’ll be seeing the game on the PC Gamer’s platform of choice.
Listings for the game have shown up on Steam Db, but that’s not unusual. Halo games have often shown up buried within Steam’s database files, and none of those games have materialised on PC save for the first one.
For some bizarre reason though, players can now buy Destin 1’s silver in-game currency on Steam. If you’re thinking that the currency may be transferrable between games and that it would eventually become usable in Destiny 2. The problem? Destiny 2 isn’t coming to steam at all, which makes the inclusion of Destiny 1’s currency very odd indeed.
You could actually buy Destiny Silver right now at R 0.14 per piece of in-game currency if you were foolhardy, though it doesn’t seem to do anything other than inform you that you have a new item in your inventory.
Silver was added to Destiny quite late in the game, allowing players to buy new gear at the Eververse Store. It’s inclusion on Steam – for a game that’s not, and likely won’t ever be available – is baffling indeed.
