You need to style this hard in DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition

DMC

It’s Thursday. You’re grumpy, I get that. What you need is a ray of sunshine in your life and I’m going to give it to you! With some blistering new footage of DmC: Devil May Cry’s new Must Style mode running at that sweet spot of 1080p at 60 frames per second. Heck, I’ll even throw in a  white wig for free.

Wondering what the new style modifier in DmC: Devil May Cry is? It’s quite simple really. With the optional modifier of Must Style active, players will need to work their combos all the way up to an S Rank before they’re able to start dealing any damage whatsoever to enemies.

“Use this not only to increase the game’s overall challenge, but also to improve your ability to create stylish combos and learn the ins and outs of each enemy type. Try it on a low difficulty mode to essentially turn a roomful of enemies into a multi-target practice dojo,” Capcom said.

Do yourself a favour, and watch it at the highest settings possible on the boob tube, it really does look quite stunning. Style combos have always been the heart of Devil May Cry games. Sure, you can whack away with a sword or fire away with guns for cheap damage, but there’s a certain visceral thrill in landing a SSS combo on an enemy and racking up points. It also makes for fantastic bragging rights, as I was easily able to land these combos while my grandma fumbled around with the start button and got her ass handed to her. Man, grandma sucks at these games.

The remaster arrives next month, just in time to tell you to ignore the cheaper and modded PC version. Move along, nothing to see there. And now, as promised:

Was a decent game. Not a big fan of the franchise but Ninja Theory did do a good job.

Yeah the music to was of for me, if they want to go for dubstep/electro mix in a little metal with it, well for me that would fit epic with the game, oh and is there a PC release?!?!

Saw that picture earlier and before I read the story I thought “Dammit is Bob also dancing now?” then I read the story and it wasn’t that interesting.

I hope this goes along with the revamped Style System after they buggered it up in the original release. NT seriously dropped the ball with this game and Im glad that they are now pressured to fix it with “DmC: We’re Sorry Edition” just to break even. Though Im guessing it’s more Capcom’s initiative than NT’s.
