Midweek Mouth-off: Good actor, bad film

There are some good to great actors who consistently pop up in mediocre movies. In other words, they’re way better than the film they appear in. Recent case in point: The Host’s Saoirse Ronan.  Today we want to hear about those unfortunate stars who you think have a tendency to sign up for cinematic disappointments… or completely fall off the A-List radar, like Cuba Gooding, Jr.

I couldn’t think of anyone yesterday, so I put some thought into it. I might dislike Tom Cruise as a human, but I’ve admired his acting, but recently, his movies are just far too disappointing. Watching Cuba Gooding, Jr is just sad and I really wish Tyler Perry can bring more to the table. The Madea movies started out so great, but now it’s nothing more than a cash in.

Here are some actors that need to choose roles more wisely:
Ray Liotta is a great actor but stars in more crap movies than he should.
Gerard Butler is starring in rubbish all the time.
Forest Whitaker because I still remember him in the awesomeness that was Ghost Dog.
Mickey Rourke – One of my fav actors of all time but he also makes kak choices.
