Star Trek! I love Star Wars, don’t get me wrong. But I love how Star Trek has covered literally every human issue we encounter. From the right to choose life, to homosexuality, to what life actually even is, it, in my opinion, covers a far greater depth than Star Wars, and is able to because it was a series.

I’d like a series like the different Star Trek ages. But in Star Wars!

SW clone wars is the only reason I’m peefed that Cartoon network doesn’t support series recording. After you miss 2 or 3 episodes in a season is no longer worth watching. Will someday order disc set.

Star Wars was epic. Star Trek … not so much. But thats based on the movies as a whole. TV series wise you cannot beat flying around in the good ship Enterprise. Also Star Wars does not have Q.

But compared to Mass Effect both suck equally.

    Haibo Noelle… This is anti-trolling week… and you ask such a question…

I enjoy both, however… Star Wars would win, purely because of the lightsabers…. lightsabers and wookies

Agreed. I love both as well, but really prefer the SW side.

I think Noelle did it on purpose but looking at the comments her plan failed. Most fans will make time for both franchise and only time you get the epic flame/troll wars are between the freaks that use Klingon as their first language versus couples that gets married in their bathrobes in a Force ceremony at SW premiere.

I like both because they fulfill different wants. Star Wars is a big action adventure, while Star Trek is more philosophical.

    Movies – Star Wars
    Series – Star Trek
Although, SW had a lot of plot holes, that stupid actor that ruined Darth Vader and JarJar Binx. Loved ST Voyager

As for the series, have you watched Clone Wars? Good grief, that was fun for me!

I view Star Wars as more viseral and Star Trek as more ideogical.

In SW it’s loads of action in a chaotic unviverse while ST is more of a highlights package for Goddenberry’s vision of the future.

Both awesome, both could be better though.

Maximum awesome would be if Boba Fett had a kid with 7 of 9.

Saw a few segments on TV, but never had my scheduling right to catch a few consecutive episodes. Looked cool, but I cannot judge based on a few minutes here and there.

Add gaming and litrature to the Star Wars stack.

Why do so many SW fanboys let one stupid minor character ruin the first 3 episodes for them. The original 3 stays my favorite but I enjoyed what ep 1 to 3 brought to the story

No no, JarJar is irritating, but that guy that plays Skywalker is just…he plays him as a pansy, and that is not how I imagined Vader. He is the worst part. Original 3 are the best – Solo for the win!

Fits in Force litrature, “Being a panzy is the way to the dark side it is”

Agreed, I loved Voyager, and I think it had the best ending of all the series. I also loved DS9, far more political etc, but the ending left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Very bad form…

For me it is Star Wars

Comics = SW = Read hundreds of them that were amazing
Books = SW = Some of these books I just couldn’t put down

Movies = SW = no brainer here
Games = SW = The bad SW ones are on par with the best ST ones
Lego = SW = Is there even any good ST lego?
Toys = SW = Lightsaber toys completed my shildhood
TV Series = Tie = ST might have the quantity, but Clone Wars was Excellent.

Star Wars is just better. Period

OK, maybe give TV Series to ST, but still, SW wins by miles!

Aaaah but if you measure it in hours of entertainment it comes close to a tie, …if you ignore games.

I did. If they only made the first 2 seasons, I wouldn’t of put it up for a tie. But seasons 3 – 5 top any ST season in my mind.

Star Wars over Star Trek any day of the week. I just believe that Star Trek has been killed over the years.
