With Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot currently filming in New York, today we want to know what you think about the live-action comic adaptation?
Given the rocky path the film’s development has been on before now – the whole “turtles as aliens” thing being fans’ biggest rage trigger – do you think TMNT will deliver for adult and kid fans alike? What are your expectations? Do you think we’ll be pleasantly surprised? Will it be dumb and juvenile like Transformers 2? Or worse, could this shape up as 2014’s answer to RoboCop 2013?

Well according to Bay he said they were, but they weren’t actually, he just intentionally said the wrong thing and then never corrected himself.
Or as everybody else with half a brain understands it: they were going to make them aliens, the internet blew up in their faces about it, so they changed the script so as to not be crucified by fanboys.

must be tough to keep being somewhat original when movies are made for age old characters like the turtles. having said that, I really enjoyed the last film (cgi turtles) even though it was once again aimed at kids. I can’t see a turtles film failing at all (unless, you know, aliens…), should be interesting at least, for both young and old.
