1 Minute Madness is a new initiative from Lazygamer.co.za that gives you, the reader, a no-bull****, straight to the point mini-review of a game that may not have been able to warrant a full review (or we are just too swamped).

The idea is to create a review that explains every basic aspect of the game and give you a verdict on whether or not it’s worth your cash and the best part is, it shouldn’t take longer than a minute to read! Pretty handy, huh? To kick things off, we take a look at the incredibly and unnecessarily long titled remake of the classic Arcade fighter, Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

Here we go.

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix is essentially the same great game that graced arcades so many years ago. All of the artwork has been redrawn in High Definition, making it look absolutely gorgeous and a creating a real tribute to the original.

You will find nothing new here though, the game plays exactly the same as it did so many years ago and it’s simple mechanics and easy to learn moves are great fun for casual and hardcore gamers alike.

The multiplayer is where it really shines. Play with a few friends over Xbox Live or PSN in player matches and even a great tournament mode, take on some of those insanely good Japanese folks in a ranked game (lag is very decent) or better yet, get some buddies together and do it the old fashioned way.

If you loved the original then you will love this, if you hated it then keep away. At 1200 points it isn’t cheap but if you loved the original Street Fighter series then do yourself a favour and give this game a go, you will be surprised at how well the formula has lasted.

Verdict: SHO-RYUKEN!
