ClashofTheTitans

Okay let’s get this over with. You know as soon as a game based on a movie lands on your desk that you are most probably in for a miserable time. Sometimes like Avatar the game can be acceptable and quite entertaining if not top quality.

Then at other times you get Clash of the Titans, a game so incredibly bad that I wasn’t even going to waste my time reviewing it. It’s not a game it’s more an abomination that has been unleashed on the world to try and profit on the success of the movie of the same name.

The problem here is that the movie was an abysmal failure with a current metacritic rating of 39/100 so the game never really stood a chance. It’s actually amazing to think that in the race to the bottom this game may be beaten by the movie.

The graphics are poor, the story writing is pathetic, the game play sucks and technically it’s ravaged with glitches and faults.

The only reason this game warranted a review was because the developer is releasing DLC for it, not only that but they are actually releasing 4 separate DLC packs over the next coming months. This worried me as it may tempt you to go out and buy this game and that is something you will live to regret.

Conclusion

This game is to be avoided at all costs and the only reason it manages to get such a high rating is simply because it is playable and actually includes co-op… neither of which are reason to buy this game.

For fans of: Self mutilation, the movie of the same name

Scoring (not an average)

Gameplay: 4

You hack and you slash, it’s not good but it works

Presentation: 3

The graphics are bad…

Sound: 6

It’s scary when a 6 is the best part of the game

Value: 3

It’s half price and not worth it

Overall: 3

I didn’t get close to finishing this game, I tried 3 times to get through it but it really is that bad. The catch line on the box is Defy Destiny… the only time you should do that is if your destiny is to play this game.

    Question ? on reviews.

On the left you have a top 10 reviews with just the name and the review ? could you do the same somewhere on the review area where you have all your reviews not just the top 10 in a single list box from high to low ?

    That bad Gav?

I hope you set the game alight and cleansed your soul, by dancing around its fiery corpse…

It actually has a prize spot on my desk to remind me that most of the bad games I play are fantastic.
