Zero Punctuation: Turok

Yay it’s Thursday again which means it’s Zero Punctuation day.

Now I really did enjoy this weeks rant about Turok but the second to last slide got me a bit annoyed. If you managed to pause it in time you will see a message being displayed basically stating that if you feel your copyright has been abused you can complain by sending an email to zp@escapistmag.com.

Now really is anyone going to be so petty as to complain about a reviewer using your HUB (Doom) or giving your bad games free publicity (Blood)?

Yahtzee is a love him or hate him kind of guy but whichever way you feel about him I can’t see any reason to be threatening him with legal action. Take it like a man (woman) and get on with it.

I don’t like Turok as much as people keep telling me to give it a second chance, I refuse. I’m done playing dinosaur games done I tell you!

although I don’t mind the whole Health meter disappearing either come to think of it the whole Halo Master theory of FPS games doesn’t have a health meter only a shield indicator …

Dude at the end of every Zero Punctuation he posts that second last slide about the fair use. Don’t get pissed off he is just being legally sound.

He attaches that disclaimer from the 1st Zero Punctuation, if I’m not mistaken – way back from August last year, where he riffs on the Heavenly Sword demo.
