So the people with great download speeds have been enjoying the Destiny beta for a few hours now while the rest of us keep cranking that handle to get the download done.
But don’t despair if you are still waiting to start as we have a smorgasbord of screenshots from both the PS4 and PS3 versions for you to pick apart at your leisure. However there is a catch, the person who uploaded them to their online gallery didn’t actually say which one is which so we need to work it out; something which is turning out to be more difficult than it should be.
Hopefully by the time you are reading this I will be playing the beta.
If you’re also going to be in the beta then make sure you join our community clan, handily nicknamed Team Winner Champion*, so we can easily meet up online and create epic strike teams to take on public events and raids.
With the 3 hours raids, I’m going to need a ton of people to keep me alive so that I have a chance to actually complete them.
*Not really, we have very little chance of winning

Left side is PS4. Right is PS3. I make this assumption because of the shadows. The right hand side shadows are exceptionally blocky indicating less shadow texture size. That would only be a constraint on the PS3.

Yip, but very slower…. The thing is if you want very cool gear you have to get to level 6 in the Crucible. It has it’s won leveling as well… Didn’t check if it was open last night though. It was missing from the Alpha. But as you enter the tower to go to your class boss on the right the big sells armour that need crucible level 6 and they are awesome!!!

No. They are region and platform specific. You get one key from Bungie, which is 9 characters long. Then you input your platform and region, so a PS3 code WON’T work on PS4, and definitely not on xbox, different protocols etc..

I like that model for tracking achievements, different to the usual stuff in MMOs. So your Grimoire card count is essentially your progress score.

Pretty much, you get for say killing 100 of these types of enemies or finding dead ghosts or doing say 100 caps in control, etc. I read somewhere it’s supposed to eventually lead to you being able to trade them for epic gear.
