I am yet to see, hear or sniff (go smell-o-vision!) a bad word about Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and based on this kick ass new four minute long extended clip, it’s not hard to see why. The clip, which is from one of the film’s opening scenes (so don’t worry, no spoilers), gives us our first look (outside of one pic) at MMA star Georges St Pierre’s Batroc the Leaper (sadly not doing much leaping), Black Widow’s widow sting and just how beastly Cap has gotten with his shield-slinging.

And if that isn’t enough, the clip then transforms into a regular trailer showing all new footage that should get any action enthusiast grinning.

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier.

Again with the images of somebody dying? Is Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury really going to kick the proverbial bucket as all the clues seems to be pointing at? The verdict is still out on that. When it comes to just how killer this movie is looking right now though, there’s definitely no doubt left. Directing duo Anthony and Joe Russo really seems to have put together one incredible action/espionage flick here, and while Guardians of the Galaxy is still my most anticipated of all the upcoming Marvel movies, this is nipping at its heels. Also, threatening to bash it in the face with a vibranium shield.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be dropping into cinemas without a parachute on April 4, 2014.

I really wish they’d either make a live action Series or Movie Franchise of the Civil War Arch its one of my favourite story lines in the Marvel universe. Doesnt have to be exactly same as the comix but maybe set in the Movie Universe..

I have zero evidence to support this, so call it nothing but baseless fanboy speculation, but I have a feeling that we may be seeing that in Marve’ls Phase 4. Face it after Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet (who will probably be the baddie for Avengers 3) there’s not much else they can do to top/exceed that.

Galactus and Annihulus would have been perfect escalations, but the rights to them are owned by FOX. This is in my mind leaves two options: World War Hulk or Civil War.

WWH would be absolutely epic, but there are few more things that still need to be put into place for that so we may get that in Phase 5. Everything is already there for Civil War.
