While the latest Sacha Baron Cohen comedy may only be releasing in July on our side, one aspect of the film that is going to make waiting for it even more difficult, is that it might include a teaser trailer of Ron Burgundy and his Channel 4 News Team.

Sequel Director Adam McKay recently spoke about how doing such a quick teaser, in a short amount of time was actually beneficial to the writing process of the film, something that helped the actors familiarise themselves again with their hard-hitting, rival news team murdering characters.

“Paramount came to us with the idea of the teaser,” McKay said to TotalFilm. “And since we’re writing the script it was a good chance to see the characters and hang out with the actors to inspire writing.”

All of the actors  slipped right into character and they all looked amazing. “Paul [Rudd] has a beard and we’re thinking of keeping it. Kind of an Eddie Rabbit meets Serpico look.

McKay has been glib with any details surrounding the film, although some reports have suggested that the news crew will have to face the enormous challenge of a changing landscape, in a world that wants dramatic news 24/7, with as much multi-culturalism as possible.

And we all know how well Ron Burgundy and co are with adapting to change. “Nothing’s set,” McKay said.

Right now I can say for sure there is no Ghost Rider cameo or a scene where Ron fights a wolverine on a nose-diving helicopter. We’re either going to shoot the movie in 3D or 1/2 D.

As for Burgundy himself, he recently posted on Twitter for the first time;

Dont get Twirter. Anchorman2 teaser w Dictator tom night. Dont know what a teaser is. World is crazy? Having a scotch.

What, you still need some more Anchorman 2 info? Fine, here’s a teaser poster of the main cast. Well, their legs at least.
