Right, let’s just get straight into this. We at TheMovies.co.za will not be held accountable for you being fired from your job and declared a perverted social outcast because you chose to ignore our NOT SAFE FOR WORK warnings. I mean, it’s bold italics, what more would you want?

If you do work in a corner cubicle and have a pair of great noise cancellation earphones, AND ARE ABOVE THE AGE OF 18, then by all means have a really funny look at new Danish comedy Klovn (Clown) which sees comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen as two friends who embark on a male-bonding canoe-trip of hilarity and debauchery. Lots and lots of explicit debauchery.

Trailer available here.

Here’s the official synopsis, which hints at even further situations of hilarious depravity:

In what critics are hailing as “the funniest movie of the year!” (IFC), KLOWN follows two wildly inappropriate friends — played by celebrated international comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen — as they run amok through the Danish countryside plowing through endless awkward confrontations and unspeakable debaucheries. Hopelessly wrongheaded Frank “kidnaps” the 12-year-old nephew of his pregnant girlfriend in an eager attempt to prove his fatherhood potential, to join sex-crazed Casper on his secret adulterous weekend canoe trip. From exclusive brothels, hospitalizations, armed robberies and even prison, the three paddle downstream from one chaotic misadventure to the next culminating to a surprise sentimental portrait of friendship and a final shocking reveal that you won’t soon unsee.

As with pretty much every popular European film lately, there is currently an American remake in the works, starring Danny McBride – who will also be penning the adaptation – and produced by Todd “The Hangover” Phillips.
