I am not much of a Star Wars fan. Crucify me all you like, but I just don’t have any sort of emotional attachment to what’s easily one of the most established and venerated media series. For that reason, I’m able to heartily laugh at just how much Kinect Star Wars – which releases tomorrow – has bastardised the films’ legacy. Real fans? Real fans are probably pissed.
You might be forgiven for thinking you’ve gone back in time and that this is just a terrible, terrible April Fool’s joke – but this video of a digital Han Solo busting a groove to a parody song is deliciously real. Really, I think more conflicts should be ended by dance battles – something delightfully displayed in 2004’s “You got served,”one of the very best films ever committed to celluloid.
You’ll be able to get your own intergalactic groove on, shaking your Spaceballs to future hits like “Hologram Girl” and “It’s fun to be the Empire today,” when Kinect Star wars starts flying of shelves with force tomorrow.
