I'm not skilled enough to photoshop HotS eyewear over Bono's face. JUST PRETEND IT'S THERE OK

Heroes of the Storm is insanely action-packed. What with all that creep killing and spell casting which kicks off the moment the gates are pulled down, it’s almost too much to take in visually! There’s no doubt that the title is going to spawn a plethora of merchandise and media, before and after its official release. Things have already kicked off though, as GUNNAR Optiks have announced a partnership with Blizzard. They have a whole range of Heroes of the Storm eyewear lined up for you to protect your eyeballs with.

CEO and co-founder Joe Croft had the following to say (via this Press Release)

“GUNNAR is excited to partner with a worldwide gaming powerhouse like Blizzard. We’ll continue to push the envelope of technology, design and fashion while Blizzard continues to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment. We look forward to truly great things as we begin to ramp up this partnership.”

The chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment, Paul Sams, is happy to be working together with GUNNAR too.

“This collaboration is all about giving our players a fun new way to show their pride for their favorite Blizzard characters. We’re pleased to be working with GUNNAR to bring Heroes of the Storm from players’ computer screens out into the real world.”

So what exactly do these glasses look like? You can check the whole range out here, but here are a few incorporating some of my favourite heroes.

As much of fan I am of Heroes of the Storm, I honestly can’t see myself ever wearing any of these. What about you? Would you purchase a pair and wear them to a LAN for example?

If you’re interested in playing Heroes of the Storm, be sure to keep an eye on your Battlenet desktop app. It seems like Alpha access is being given out more frequently now.

I already wear prescription glasses and I don’t think getting custom lenses made for a pair of these frames as worth a quarter of the actual cost.
