Atari has sent out a press release confirming that they are working on a 3D version of the awesome classic, Roller Coaster Tycoon, sorry Nintendo 3DS version. It was plenty of fun on a PC, the portable version, with or without a second stick, might not be as much fun. We’ll find out next year. Check out the trailer at www.rollercoastertycoon.com and the full press release follows…

It certainly sounds like it’ll be packed full of features and new-comers to the franchise will probably get many hours of fun out of it. Trying to manipulate your custom roller coaster design on a small screen might leave gamers a little frustrated though. It might be worth having an external roller coaster designer (web based even?) and leave management gameplay and visuals to the 3DS.
