Actress Joey King reveals a potentially huge Dark Knight Rises spoiler

This is the one part of my job that I really, really loathe. I hate spoilers. On my personal Hate-Scale, spoilers occupy a spot somewhere between Nazi pedophile lawyers and brussel sprouts drenched in the blood of babies. Unfortunately though, there are people out that crave these things, and so I am obligated to report them.

Obviously, if you don’t want to know what this spoiler is, then I suggest that you go do something else. Now.

Seriously, why are you still here?

Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

13 Year old Joey King (Crazy, Stupid, Love) has been a very naughty girl, as during an interview with My Entertainment World she let out which character she’ll be playing:

I play young Talia al Ghul. I can’t give too much away because I promised Mr. Nolan I wouldn’t say anything. There are too many secrets about the character and the movie.

Well it’s good to know that promises means so much to you, hey Ms. King?

For those of you that don’t remember, Marion Cotilliard was originally rumoured to have been cast in the role of Talia al Ghul, daughter of Batmin Begins villain, Ra’s al Ghul. However her character’s name was then officially announced as Miranda Tate, much to fans’ disappointment.

But could Tate just be al Ghul’s on-screen alter ego perhaps, one that she will discard in the course of the film? There certainly is a strong enough resemblance between King and Cotilliard for the idea to be plausible. What do you guys think?

Not to mention the fact that Henri Ducard pulled pretty much the same fake name trickery in Batman Begins

I took it as a given that Talia would be in the movie. No surprise there.

Talia’s involvement had never been anything other than rumour and conjecture though. This is the first official proof.
